Calgary police are looking for a woman and three teens wanted on warrants related to a human trafficking investigation.
The investigation was launched after officers were called to a business in the 900 block of 5 Avenue S.W. after a woman ran in reporting she’d been held against her will.
Police believe the woman was being forcibly confined in an apartment for five days before escaping.
The apartment was contained and two underage suspects were arrested. An additional two suspects, an adult and another minor, were identified but were not found in the apartment.
The two minors that were arrested were later released without charges pending investigation.
The investigation concluded the victim met a male, identified as one of the suspects, in the apartment building’s lobby. She was then taken upstairs, assaulted and forcibly confined, police said.
