Firefighters later responded to a report of a car on fire in an open carport of a home in the 11600-block of 72 Avenue.

One of the victims, Jason Hanson said his seven-year-old son and five-year-old daughter are afraid of going home after his car was set on fire.

“He doesn’t want to go back in his bedroom and sleep. They’re really really scared. They’re terrified. They think that the person is going to come back. My daughter is acting out that she’s a superhero. [She] wants to hurt these people and put them away,” Hanson said.

There were no reports of injuries connected to the fires.

Police said they are looking for any information as the investigation is in its early stages.

“We have had arson investigations that have gone on in past years, but this would be the first in a good long time that we’ve had three separate incidents over the course of a short period of time,” Brooks said.
