Elgin OPP search for suspects in diesel heist

If you happen to know someone who mysteriously acquired more than 500 litres of diesel fuel this week, Elgin OPP want to speak with you.

Officers say sometime between 12 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday someone managed to drill holes in the fuel tank of a John Deere tractor on a property in the area of Ferguson Line and Dalewood Road.

Investigators say the fuel is dyed blue.

Anyone with information about the incident or who may have seen unfamiliar vehicles in the area at the time is asked to call Elgin OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
