Motel fire in Nova Scotia forces four families out, causes smoke damage

BROOKFIELD, N.S. – Four families have been forced from their motel rooms after a fire just south of Truro, N.S.

The attic fire at the Sunrise Motel in Brookfield was reported just before 5 a.m. today.

It was quickly contained.

There is smoke damage throughout the motel although officials say overall damage is minimal.

No one was hurt and there’s no word on the cause of the fire.
