Since 1872, there has not been a warmer November than what was experienced in 2016. Around the province, record high temperatures were set on what seemed like a regular basis.
2017 is a much different story as temperatures this week will approach record lows.

Let’s take a look back at the record setting days that started in early November around the province from Environment Canada.

- Deerwood: 22.5 C (old record 20.9 C in 2001)
- Fisher Branch: 20.4 C (old record 16.7 C in 2001)
- Carberry: 20.2 C (old record 19.3 C in 2001)
- Nine locations set new records.
Nov. 6:
- Pinawa: 21.3 C (old record 17.8 C set in 1975)
- Sprague: 21.2 C (old record 17.8 C set in 1975)
- Gretna: 19 C (old record 13.6 C set in 2000)
- Winnipeg: 16.7 C (tied record from 1975)
- 11 locations set new records.
Nov. 8:
- Lynn Lake: 6.8 C (old record 3.3 C set in 1964)
Nov. 9:
- Dauphin: 20.9 C (old record 18.3 C set in 1923)
- Melita: 20.8 C (old record 13.4 C set in 2001)
- Portage la Prairie: 20.7 C (old record 11.9 C set in 2001)
- Winnipeg: 18.8 C (old record 14.4 C set in 1923)
- 21 locations set new records.
Nov. 11:
- Swan River: 10.6 C (old record 10.2 C set in 1999)
- Lynn Lake: 5.3 C (old record 4.4 C set in 2009)
- Churchill: 4.2 C (old record 2.4 C set in 2005)
- Gillam: 4.0 C (old record 3.7 C set in 2005)
Nov. 12:
- Swan River: 15.8 C (old record 14.5 C set in 1981)
- Wasagaming: 15.8 C (old record 14 C set in 1981)
- Gretna: 15.1 C (old record 14.6 C set in 1999)
- Winnipeg: 13.6 C (old record 13.2 C set in 1981)
- 15 locations set new records.
