Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for London, Parkhill, Strathroy, and Komoka as well as Eastern and Western Middlesex County.

The statement says significant rainfall is possible Saturday night, on Sunday and Sunday evening.

Environment Canada adds that the rain would be due to a low-pressure system developing over the Western United States that is travelling towards Southern Ontario.

Rainfall amounts of 25 mm to 40 mm may occur.

There is also the risk of thunderstorms which would also cause higher amounts of rain.
