Fredericton bank robbery suspect arrested in Thunder Bay, Ont.

A 37-year-old man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for a Fredericton bank robbery has been arrested in Ontario.

A spokesperson with the City of Fredericton said Jeffrey Gorsline was arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police in Thunder Bay on Monday.

He is a suspect in a robbery at the TD Bank on Prospect Street on Oct. 26.

“We are treating it as an armed robbery,” said Staff Sgt. Edward Smith of the Fredericton Police Force at the time.

The public was advised not to approach Gorsline because he was considered violent.

It is unclear when Gorsline will be brought back to Fredericton.
