Pedestrian hit by car after physical confrontation: Halton police

Police are looking for the driver of a damaged car after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Oakville.

Halton police say a 22-year-old man was hit by a vehicle just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Grand Oak Trail and Greenwich Drive.

The victim, who suffered minor injuries, was taken to hospital and later released.

Police believe the victim was involved in a physical confrontation with the driver of the suspect vehicle minutes prior to being hit.

Investigators believed the confrontation took place in a nearby townhouse complex.

Police are looking for a white Ford Focus with tinted windows and a broken rear taillight.
