Some students suffered minor injuries in a collision Wednesday morning between a school bus and a commercial delivery truck.

Wood Buffalo RCMP said it happened at around 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 69 and Snowbird Way, in Fort McMurray.

Officers said the drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital and “some students were reported as having minor injuries.” However, RCMP said neither of the drivers nor the students were seriously injured.

The school bus was carrying 19 students from both public and Catholic school divisions, RCMP said.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Wood Buffalo RCMP at (780) 788-4000.
