Dartmouth man shot multiple times with pellet gun during dispute

A Dartmouth man is facing charges of assault and weapons offences following a dispute Friday evening.

Police were called to the 0-100 block of Best Street shortly after 5 p.m.

Officers say a physical dispute between two men in the area escalated and ended with one of the men shooting the other with a pellet gun several times.

The victim was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Monday.
