CALGARY – Police say they suspect a white truck found partly submerged in the Bow River on Thursday was likely stolen.

The pickup truck traveled down a steep embankment just off point McKay near Edworthy Park and landed in the freezing water up to its wheels.

Police believe the vehicle may have been intentionally dumped, after they began following it earlier in the evening in the city’s northeast.

No one was in the truck when it was discovered.
