The Manitoba Legislative Building was reopened after an evacuation Thursday afternoon.
The building was evacuated just after 2:30 p.m. during Question Period.
The fire chief on scene said the evacuation was prompted by a phone call from someone who claimed to have left a toxic substance in the public gallery.
Winnipeg police issued a tweet at 4:15 p.m. that said the area was cleared.
