Police arrest man wanted for serious assault in Calgary’s Marlborough neighbourhood

Calgary police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a serious assault that left another man badly injured.

Police said in a media release that Sterling Gabriel Jimmy, 26, was taken into custody on Tuesday.

Investigators say he has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with an incident in the 400 block of Marlborough Way N.E.

They said a man and a woman had been talking with another man in a vehicle when that man became agitated.

Officers said the suspect got out of the vehicle and attacked the man, who lived in the home, with an object.

The victim, who was seriously injured, was rushed to hospital by people in the area who witnessed the attack.
