Changes are likely coming to ward boundaries in parts of Stoney Creek, Glanbrook and Flamborough.
The City of Hamilton has reached an agreement with one of two residents who challenged the issue at the Ontario Municipal Board.
The settlement must still be approved during an OMB hearing that is scheduled for Oct. 19.
The most significant proposed change is that a section of Ward 15 would join Ward 14, though there are also tweaks for wards 9, 10, 11 and 13.
The existing boundaries have been a discussion point for years, pitting those who want distinct communities protected against those demanding a more equal population distribution between wards.
