“Including increased productivity with staff working in closer proximity to each other as well as the avoidance of significant capital costs we would face with refurbishing 820 Taylor to maintain it as a viable long-term office building,” the statement read.

A smaller group will move from Taylor to other locations. Hydro currently owns and/or leases 27 buildings in Winnipeg.

Hydro is not selling the Taylor building, instead it will continue to house critical technology systems that would be difficult to locate.
