The old Guelph Correctional Centre on York Road will be turned into a training ground for the Canadian Armed Forces this weekend.
Members of the military will be conducting a training exercise between Saturday and Tuesday and nearby residents will have to endure higher noise levels along with low-level helicopters that will be flying around.

There are heritage buildings on the site, but officials said none of the training will be done at or near the designated structures.
Even though it is a training exercise, people are asked to stay out of the area while training is underway.
However, the public is invited to participate in the Canadian Army Reserve Open House at the Guelph Armoury on Saturday.
Members of the 11th Field Regiment of the Royal Canadian Artillery will be on site between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to answer questions about their experiences.
