Kelowna seeking input on city furniture

The City of Kelowna is seeking input on what downtown furniture should look like.

It’s asking for the public’s opinion as it tries to ‘standardize’ street furniture, including benches, trash cans and bike racks throughout the downtown area.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“Coordinating these streetscape elements will help promote the districts’ unique identities and make them more comfortable and inviting places to be,” says Planner Specialist, David James. “It will also avoid a hodgepodge of different styles and colours and result in a more unified streetscape.”

Between now and Sunday, Oct. 8, the City is seeking online feedback on what the various elements should look like and where they should be installed.
