The provincial fire ban on Crown lands south of the Churchill River has been lifted by Saskatchewan Environment.
Officials said they are lifting the ban due to rainfall in many areas and a return of cooler temperatures and higher humidity.

Campfire restrictions remain in place for Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park and the Cypress Lake recreation site due to extremely dry conditions in that area.
All other campfire bans in provincial parks have ended.
Any fire bans issued by municipalities, regional and national parks are currently in place are not affected by the lifting of the provincial ban.

The ban was originally issued on Aug. 1 and expanded on Aug. 31 due to extreme wildfire hazards.
