Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid wore many different hats, sometimes literally, in new video to promote the EA Sports NHL 18 video game.
The video, tweeted by McDavid on Tuesday, features several characters including “Cam” credited as “maybe Connor’s brother,” “not Connor’s manager, Adam” and “security guard Dan” — talking about who they think should be on the cover of the upcoming game.
“What’s that guy’s name again?” Adam asked. “David. David O’Connor should be on the cover of the NHL game.”
“I’d look better but yeah, put him on the cover,” Cam said.
“If you guys don’t put McDavid on the cover you guys are stupid,” Dan insisted.
The star player shows off his acting chops by playing each character.
McDavid was announced as the cover athlete for NHL 18 in June. The game is available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and is scheduled to be released on Friday.
As for his other job, McDavid will be back leading the Oilers at Rogers Place on Wednesday, Oct. 4 as they host the Calgary Flames for the start of the regular season.
