Tyrese Gibson has taken to social media to urge Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson not to go ahead with a rumoured Fast and the Furious spin-off centred around his character Luke Hobbs, which could delay the release date of the upcoming Fast 9 movie.
Gibson has since deleted the posts and insisted Johnson should “call him” because he “doesn’t do email.”
Gibson, who stars as Roman in the much-loved franchise, is said to have written in one post: “I don’t wanna hear from you until you remember what we talked about. I’m on your timeline cause you’re not responding to my text messages – #FastFamily is just that a family……we don’t fly solo.”

The actor also shared a lengthy message about “never having a problem with his movie star brother.”
Gibson posted: “I’m simply trying to reach him cause he won’t call me back about this solo #HobbsMovie I want you to shoot it just not right now cause the #Fast9 release date has already been announced and we can’t let our loyal fans #FastFamily or our loyal fast and furious FANS down on any level from pushing the date…… Didn’t you see how HUGE #Fast8 was? It’s because we announced and KEPT our release date bro.”

Insisting that “he never goes public with his private issues,” Gibson added: “We do this on behalf of the families, the cast, the crew member who have been down and loyal to us for 15 years.”
Gibson’s comments come after Johnson told fans he’d been having “many productive meetings and sealing many big business deals,” despite not confirming exactly what he was talking about.
Fast & Furious 9 is scheduled for release on April 19, 2019.
