A 25-year-old motorcycle driver was involved in a fatal collision at the intersection of des Sources and Pierrefonds boulevards Friday evening.
Montreal police said the man was heading in the southbound direction on des Sources and was struck by an oncoming vehicle approaching from the east on Pierrefonds Boulevard.

The force of the crash, witnesses at the scene said, caused the driver to be flung from the bike into a nearby lamppost. The impact caused the lamppost to fall onto two other cars.
According to witness accounts, police are speculating that the motorcyclist may have run a through a red light.
The driver of the motorcycle was reported dead on scene by Montreal police.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
Police continue to investigate.
