Former Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban is asking Montrealers to “turn up the volume” after his foundation released a song inspired by brave children from the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

Unspoken tells the story of real-life experiences of families and shines a spotlight on brave children, talented dancers and singers/songwriters.
The lyrics were inspired by interviews conducted with families who have gone through harrowing experiences.

The song opens with Mahé-lee Caron saying, “to the helpers and the fighters, we are with you,” and then the music starts.
Hope is a four-letter word with a whole lot of weight on it
“Listen to the words, watch the visuals, and never take life for granted.”
In addition to Caron, the song features Sara Diamond, Eric Séguin, Becca TG and Andria Piperni.

The video premiered at the second annual Eh Gala, hosted by Subban on Wednesday, Aug. 30 that took place at the Montreal Science Centre.
The gala raised $354,791.00 for his foundation.

Despite being traded to the Nashville Predators last June, the star defenceman has maintained his ties to Montreal and held on to his commitments with the Children’s Hospital.
His September 2015 charitable commitment of $10 million to the hospital is the largest donation made by any Canadian athlete to date.

Since then, the foundation has reached 20 per cent of its goal.
The song is available on iTunes and Spotify, will all proceeds benefiting the P.K. Subban Foundation.
