Halifax is welcoming a new fire chief this fall.
Ken Stuebing, the Fire Paramedic Chief in Chatham-Kent, Ont., was named to the position after a national search.
Stuebing will be replacing Doug Trussler, who retired in June after more than five years as Fire Chief of Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency (HRFE).

“My family and I are also very excited to start living in HRM and getting involved in its communities, their unique, balanced lifestyle and the region’s collective spirit.”
