TORONTO – Sangita Patel has become the newest member of the ET Canada family, taking on co-hosting duties while Cheryl Hickey goes on maternity leave.
Patel was born and raised in Toronto. Before getting into the media business, she was an engineer. She took on a volunteer role with Rogers Community Television at night, while she worked as an engineer by day. Eventually, she landed jobs at the Weather Network and Toronto’s City TV.
Now Patel is joining Canada’s number one entertainment show, ready to talk to the biggest stars on the planet. She’s had some experience doing that already. She reported for the Rogers’ program Rushes, the highlight show for the Toronto International Film Festival.
