The south side of NDG Park is still closed after a microburst and thunderstorm devastated parts of Montreal.

It will remain closed until inspectors deem it safe for the public.

The northern part of NDG Park was reopened last weekend.

“We were just elated that the park was reopened,” Ilana Schiller, NDG resident, said. “We really were wondering what are we going to do with the children all weekend.”

The storm damaged an estimated 100 homes, “scores and scores of cars” and 400 trees.
