Woodstock police charge man, 63, with careless driving in fatal motorcycle crash

Roughly two weeks after a fatal crash in Woodstock, police have identified the victim and laid a charge in the case.

Just before 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, Woodstock emergency crews responded to a crash at the intersection of Dundas Street and Churchill Place.

Officers say a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a Ford Windstar van.

The driver of the motorcycle was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Police have identified the victim as Kenneth Schlimme, 46.

The driver of the van, a 63-year-old man, has been charged with careless driving.
