London Police charge five, seize $54,000 worth of illegal drugs

London Police have charged multiple people following the execution of several search warrants.

The London Police Service and RCMP, with the assistance from the Emergency Response Unit, executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at residences on Hamilton Road, Maitland Street, Dalhousie Drive and Jalna Boulevard on Wednesday.

Police found and seized several amounts of Narcotics, totalling a street value of approximately $54,000.

Among the drugs found were 92 grams of cocaine, 252 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, valued at $25,520, 434 grams of Marijuana bud, 15 grams of Hashish, 0.5 grams of Shatter and 5 grams of Hashish oil. London police also said in the press release that 30 grams of suspected Fentanyl powder was seized as well. Around $4,500 of Canadian currency was also recovered, according to the media release.

London police have charged five suspects: three females and two males, all from London.

The first male is charged with possession of a schedule II substance, possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of probation.

He is also charged jointly with a 39-year-old London woman with possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a schedule II substance.

The first female suspect is charged with possession of a schedule I substance.

The second male and female are charged jointly with possession of a schedule II substance and three counts of traffic in a schedule I substance.

The second male is also charged with failing to comply with the condition of a judicial release, contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
