Britney Spears has repeatedly denied charges that she lip-syncs when she performs in concert, and decided to fire back by offering an amazing 100-per-cent-live performance.
Spears shut down lip-syncing allegations during Saturday night’s concert at her Las Vegas residency, picking up a microphone and addressing the crowd at her Britney: Piece of Me show at AXIS in Planet Hollywood.
“I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately. This morning I woke up and looked at the news and there’s a lot of things going on in the world and stuff,” she told the audience.

“But basically — the press and the media, my whole life — one minute they tear you down and the next you’re on top of the world,” she added.
“I’ve never really spoken about it. And I’m a Southern girl, from Louisiana, from the south and I like to keep it real,” she continued. “So I just wanna make sure I keep giving the motherf**kers something to talk about, OK?”
With that, she launched into a sizzling cover of Bonnie Raitt’s 1991 hit Something to Talk About. Watch:

Earlier this year, Spears addressed lip-sync claims during an Israeli TV interview, prior to a show in Tel Aviv.
“A lot of people think that I don’t sing live,” Spears said in the interview (which can be seen below). “Because I’m dancing so much I do have a little bit of playback, but there’s a mixture of my voice and the playback. It really pisses me off because I am busting my ass out there and singing at the same time and nobody ever really gives me credit for it.”
