Nova Scotia RCMP have confirmed the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were found at the site of a house fire in Clam Harbour were the result of a homicide-suicide.
On Friday, police said investigators determined the 46-year-old woman was the victim of a homicide.

Emergency crews, including Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency, had been called to the scene of a fire when neighbours reported seeing smoke coming out of a house on the morning of July 24. When they arrived, they found the garage on fire and flames spreading to the attached home.
After putting out the fire, emergency workers found human remains of one individual in the home on Monday night. The next day, police found the remains of a second person just before 5 p.m. in the home on Nebooktook Walk.

RCMP say the 54-year-old man and the female victim were both residents of the home. They say no other details will be released and they are not seeking any other individuals in relation to the investigation.
