Weather vane once owned by Bluenose captain stolen from N.S. property

A weather vane that once belonged to Capt. Angus Walters, who skippered the Bluenose, has been stolen and police are asking for the public’s assistance in tracking it down.

The brass whale-shaped weather vane was one of several items taken in a break-in police say occurred between September 2016 and July 17 of this year at a property on Middle Road in Kingsburg, N.S. Police add the vane holds both sentimental and historical value.
