Several people said they heard shots fired just after 8 p.m. Thursday in the 9400-block of 131A Street.

They said the shots were fired between two vehicles and one vehicle then crashed into a tree.

However, when officers attended, they located evidence of shots being fired but both vehicles had fled the scene before police arrived.

RCMP say the initial investigation has revealed that shots were fired from a 2006-2011, two door, charcoal Honda Civic at a 2015-2017 black Cadillac Escalade SUV. The Civic was last seen southbound on 130 A Street and the Escalade was last seen northbound on 130 A Street. Another 2001-2005 silver Honda Civic was spotted at the scene and police believe is connected with the SUV.

Police obtained pictures of the vehicles from video surveillance.

There have been no reports of any injuries.
