Motorcyclist seriously injured in Sutherland crash

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash in Saskatoon.

The crash between a car and motorcycle happened at Central Avenue and Gray Avenue in Sutherland on Wednesday afternoon.

Saskatoon police said the driver of the northbound car on Central failed to yield to the motorcycle while making a left-hand turn into a parking lot.

The 48-year-old motorcycle driver suffered serious injuries but non-life-threatening injuries. He is currently at Royal University Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Traffic restrictions were in place for several hours while collision analysts carried out their investigation.

Police continue to investigate.
