A gorilla at the Dallas Zoo is proving how sweet small pleasures can be.
Zola, a male Western lowland gorilla at the Dallas Zoo, was filmed spinning and breakdancing in a kiddie pool on Tuesday inside the park’s gorilla building.
The video clearly captures the 14-year-old primate having a blast and displaying complete enjoyment as he spins and splashes.
The zoo said the pool is used as an enrichment tool to help keep the gorilla’s happy.
“Enrichment helps enhance the environment and lives of animals by providing them with mental and physical stimulation to increase natural and healthy behaviour,” the zoo said in a statement.

It’s not the first time Zola has shown off his dance moves to the camera.
The primate went viral in 2013 when he was recorded doing a funky two-step while he was a resident at the Calgary Zoo.
Zola and his brother Shana were transferred to the Dallas Zoo in 2013 after failing to integrate into the gorilla troop at the Calgary Zoo.

According to the Dallas Zoo, gorillas are “anatomically too dense to swim,” but have been documented willingly entering water to feed or cross in the wild.
“Some gorillas have even been documented using long sticks to probe beneath the water and gauge depth for safe passage,” the zoo said. “This is an impressive example of great ape intelligence.”
