Police have arrested two more men and obtained a Canada-wide arrest warrant for another in connection to Regina’s first homicide of the year.
Police arrested 34-year-old Christopher Matthew Brass from Winnipeg and 25-year-old Malcolm Mitchell of Winnipeg. Both men are charged with first degree murder in connection to the death of Daniel Richard Dipaolo.

Regina Police had already arrested and charged Edward Joseph Genaille in connection to the case.
On Friday a Canada-wide warrant was issued for a fourth suspect, 31-year-old Jonathan Edward Kakewash from Winnipeg. He is facing a first degree murder charge as well.
On April 29, 2017, police arrived at a house in the 700 block of Garnet Street and found 51-year-old Daniel Richard Dipaolo dead.
Brass was charged in connection to two murders in Winnipeg earlier this year, Mitchell was charged in connection to one.
Bryer James Prysiazniuk-Settee, 24, was found in critical condition on Feb. 8 at Powers Street and Aberdeen Avenue in Winnipeg after being shot. He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Brass is charged with second degree murder in this case.

On March 14, emergency crews rushed to a house fire in the 400 block of Aberdeen Avenue in Winnipeg. Jeanenne Fontaine, 29, was found inside and rushed to hospital where she later died. It was discovered that she had been shot in the head before she was exposed to the fire. Brass was charged with manslaughter in this case and Mitchell was charged with second degree murder.

A third man, Jason Michael Meilleur, 38, was also charged with manslaughter in connection to that murder.
Police don’t believe any of the murders were connected.
