One of the driving forces behind the craft brewing scene in London will be hosting a special celebration in honour of its fourth anniversary.
Forked River Brewing Company will be using the parking lot in front of their retail store on Pacific Court just north of Dundas Street to serve up their brews on Saturday.
Forked Fest will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature over 20 taps, including beer from Anderson Craft Ales, London Brewing Co-operative and Toboggan Brewing Company.
“Some beers that we’ve never poured before so some exclusives, definitely some favourites. We’ve got three other local brewers as well,” co-owner and founder David Reed told AM980.
“We’ve got some awesome selection of local vendors, local food.”
Reed, a lifelong Londoner, explained that it’s important for the company to give back to the community.
“Beer can be the cornerstone of a community and we’re trying to focus on that, support local. We’ve grown tremendously locally, and we’ve done that through the support of our other local vendors. We want to return the favour.”
Admission to Forked Fest is $5 and includes two drink samples.
