Edmonton police released two photos of a dark grey pickup truck wanted in connection with a pedestrian hit-and-run collision that sent a 20-year-old man to hospital.

It happened Thursday at around 4:40 p.m. near 19 Avenue and 49 Street in the neighbourhood of Pollard Meadows.

Officers were called to the scene and found a man lying on 19 Avenue “in serious medical duress.” The 20-year-old was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital with critical, but non-life-threatening injuries.

It was reported to police that the man was standing on the sidewalk, speaking with the driver of a parked vehicle, when he allegedly ran north across 19 Avenue, when he was struck by an eastbound truck.
