OPP asks cottagers to check for signs of missing man in Bruce County

Bruce County OPP hope the start of cottage season will turn up some new clues in a missing person case.

Officers say they’ve been looking for 30-year-old Niram Shouldice since he was reported missing by his family on March 6, 2017. Investigators believe the last time he was spotted was in Ferndale in the northern Bruce Peninsula on March 5 at approximately 7 p.m.

The OPP is asking anyone with property in the Lions Head or Ferndale areas to check for signs of Shouldice around their cottages or any outbuildings if they plan on visiting over the Victoria Day long weekend.

Shouldice is described as 5’10”, 160 lbs with short, dark brown curly hair. He’s clean shaven and has brown eyes and was last seen wearing a heavy black jacket with a hoodie.
