It’s happened again.

Hamilton Police cordoned off an area around a downtown courthouse Thursday afternoon after an unattended suitcase was found.

The suitcase was reported to police just after 1 p.m. next to the Family Courthouse on Main St. West.

Members of the Emergency Response Unit and Canine Officers responded and say the suitcase contained a printer and did not pose a threat to the public.

Police say no criminal charges are expected.

An abandoned suitcase was found chained to the wall of the HSBC Bank next to the John Sopinka Courthouse on March 28.
