George Clooney made an 87-year-old fan’s birthday dreams come true when he showed up with flowers.
The actor gave Pat Adams a very big surprise when he showed up for an unexpected visit at Sunrise Senior Living UK’s residential home in Sonning, England, on Sunday.
Adams reportedly discussed with the staff how she’d someday like to meet the Ocean’s Eleven actor, which resulted in the staff writing to representatives of Clooney to try to set up a meeting through the home’s “Wish upon a star” program.

The program encourages residents to make a wish that staff then attempt to fulfill. Employee Linda Jones never expected to answer the door to Clooney.
Clooney gave Adams a bouquet of flowers and a signed card before talking with her.

“I just wanted to meet the man, I’ve heard so much about him but I wanted to meet him,” Adams said. “And he was charming.”
Adams said she will treasure the birthday card from Clooney. “All and all, it was just wonderful,” she said.
Adams read from the card, “He wrote, ‘Pat, I thought you’d like some flowers. With love, George.'”
Clooney lives nearby with his wife, Amal Clooney. A spokesperson for the home said he’d been “inspired to make a visit” after receiving many requests from the staff on Adam’s behalf.
Adams invited Clooney to return with his twins once they are born.
