Saskatoon police officials are reminding drivers to not leave cars and trucks unlocked and running after seven vehicles were stolen over the weekend.
In three cases, the vehicles were running and unlocked.
The first theft happened Friday afternoon at Avenue I and 28th Street West.
Police officers recovered the second vehicle and arrested the alleged thief after a pedestrian was hit by a stolen car early Saturday morning.

The third instance of a theft of an unlocked and running vehicle happened late Sunday evening when a car was stolen from the 100-block of 33rd Street West. Along with leaving it running, the driver left the key fob inside the car.
Police officials said it only takes seconds for thieves to spot the opportunity to steal a vehicle.
They are also advising drivers not to leave keys or key fobs hidden in or around vehicles.
