Poll: One-third of British Columbians refuse to leave tip if they receive bad service – how about you?

According to a new Insights West poll, one-third of British Columbians refuse to tip if they receive bad service at a restaurant.

32 per cent of respondents found it acceptable to not leave a tip at an eat-in restaurant if they received poor service.

The majority of those surveyed said they feel obligated to leave a tip, even if the service was below average.

32 per cent said they’d fork out a tip of between 10 per cent and 14 per cent.
