The 1.8 kilometre, two lane road will connect Glenmore Road to Highway 97 at the campus.

There will also be a separated, 2.8 kilometre pathway for pedestrians and cyclists.

“Boosting Kelowna’s $4.6 million investment by securing funding from the provincial and federal governments has allowed this key connection in our road and cycling network to move forward more quickly than originally scheduled,” said Kelowna mayor Colin Basran in a news release.

The $11.6 million project is slated for completion about a year from now.
