Marvel Studios released a second trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and it’s action-packed. Chris Pratt surprised the audience on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night, revealing the much-anticipated sequel’s latest footage.
The extended look at the sequel shows Peter Quill (Pratt) meeting an older man who reveals himself to be Peter’s long-lost father Ego, the Living Planet, played by Kurt Russell. (We’re seeing Russell in this role for the first time.)
The new trailer, featuring Fleetwood Mac song The Chain, also includes Nebula (Karen Gillian), a secondary villain from the first movie now returning to clash with the Guardians.

It also offers a first look at the golden villain Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki), sitting on a throne and promising to “cleanse the universe” of weaknesses like fear and jealousy.
“So we’re saving the galaxy again? Awesome. We’re really gonna be able to jack up our prices if we’re two-time galaxy savers,” Rocket Raccoon, voiced by Bradley Cooper, says.
New members of the Guardians are introduced, including Mantis (Pom Klementieff) and Ravager Yondu (Michael Rooker). This film will set up the Guardians to join the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Avengers: Infinity War, according to Rolling Stone.
