With the looming threat of having to cut off all water to Summerland, the District says it has come up with an alternate plan.
The District was going to shut off the water for three days because of repairs beginning March 3.
It says that it will be providing a majority of its residents with a water supply but they can’t drink it.
The District says the water will be coming from the Garnet Water System and says that effective Monday, February 27 there is a boil water notice in effect.
It says the boil water notice could be in effect from four to 10 days after the completion of repairs.
That means it could be anywhere between March 10 to 17 before Summerland residents are able to drink their water again.
