A small group of people held a vigil on the steps of the Vernon court house Tuesday afternoon
The gathering is part of the 6th Annual Women’s Memorial Vigil to honour the memory of missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada.

The vigils take place on Valentine’s Day.
The Kelowna event happens in front of the court house on Water Street at 5 p.m.
