Calgary police investigate Whitehorn home invasion

Calgary police are investing reports of a home invasion in the community of Whitehorn.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Whitehorn Crescent NE. at around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The homeowner told police four people, who appeared to be armed with handguns, burst into his house.

Police were told the homeowner was detained for about 30 minutes while the suspects searched the home.

Investigators said the suspects weren’t known to the homeowner. They fled before officers arrived.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

Police are still trying to determine if the invasion was targeted and continue to search for the suspects as of Tuesday afternoon.
