Langley RCMP say alcohol is believed to be a factor in a crash that killed a 24-year-old Langley man early Thursday morning.
Mounties say just after midnight a Ford Escort, driving southbound in the 7700-block of 200 Street, crossed into the oncoming lanes and collided with a northbound Mazda 3.
The Mazda, driven by a 30-year-old Langley woman was damaged on the front end while the Escort was hit on the passenger side.
The 24-year-old man was a passenger in the Escort and died at the scene.
The two drivers were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP say they believe alcohol is a factor in the collision and possibly the slick road conditions.
Investigators will apply for a warrant for blood samples for the driver of the Escort, a 28-year-old Langley man.
The deceased man has not yet been named.
200 Street remained closed until approximately 5:30 a.m.
