The Nova Scotia Serious Incident Response Team is investigating after a vehicle hit a pole in Halifax’s north end Friday morning sending a woman to hospital.
Halifax Regional Police say patrol officers attempted to stop the vehicle at about 3:50 a.m., but the driver sped away and struck a pole on Agricola Street.

The passenger, a 28-year-old woman, was sent to hospital with fractures to both legs and her wrist.
The male driver fled the car on foot but was arrested a short time later.
