A 22-year-old Toronto man has been named as the victim in the city’s 67th homicide.

Police responded to a medical complaint call at a residential building near Lawrence Avenue West and Weston Road at around 3 p.m. Saturday.

Officers discovered a man without vital signs suffering from gunshot wounds in a stairwell. Police have identified the deceased as Kareem Hastings, 22, of Toronto.

Investigators are appealing to witnesses who live in the area or may have video of what transpired Saturday afternoon.

Police are also interested in speaking with friends and associates of Hastings to find out what he was doing Friday night.
