WINNIPEG — It’s been just over six months since Brian Pallister took office as premier of Manitoba after a controversial election that saw the provincial Progressive Conservatives take power from the NDP.

Pallister has spent decades in politics, made promises to get rid of the controversial PST hike and helped cut the province’s deficit by tens of millions of dollars. But assuming the role of premier comes with its critics.

Global’s Brittany Greenslade sat down with the premier for a one on one discussion about the biggest challenges he’s faced during his time in office and what’s coming in the year ahead.
